Current Collaborations

Below are brief descriptions of our current collaborations and projects.

• The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World

This unusual collaboration between choreographer, photographer, videographer and composer is a visual and physical retelling of Gabriel García Márquez's the Most Handsomest Drowned Man Ever. The dancers, musicians and projections share the narrative in an intricate interweaving of live video-feed, projected film and photos, dance and live music. The intent is to capture Mr. García Márquez's blending of the supernatural and of ordinary reality and to draw the audience into an unexpected landscape.

• Rubbleman

Rubbleman explores the fantastical adventures of an 18-foot puppet who comes to life and of the street kid who befriends him.

• Gym Events

Gym Events are special short events that are designed to take place in a gymnasium. They have both community and school participation and result in highly physical and whimsical performances. Gym Events has 2 versions, one which uses rigging and one which does not.

• Q2 Habitat

Q2 Habitat (2009-2010) is a project commissioned by Opera House Arts in Stonington, ME. It will take place in the natural and dramatic setting of the Settlement Granite Quarry. This project explores the ongoing dialectic between specific, local ideologies and the natural history of a particular place. This project will take place in collaboration with choreographer, performer and puppet artist Mia Kanazawa and also with composer Nigel Chase.

• Motorcycle Chronicles
